Thrift Store Painting

I found this at the thrift store for less than $10. At first I was attracted to the colors but the more I looked the more I loved the wonderful textures. It looks like the paint has been swirled, raked and combed on the board.

As I paid for it the cashier said surprised, "You really like this?" The longer I have owned it, the more I would have to say, "Yes, I really do." It's not like anything else I have collected or have painted but it's intriguing and looks like the artist had so much fun working on it.

I want to learn more about the origin of the painting and the artist. Help?
