Scratch Board Artist

Thanks to Debbie at Art Anonymous for introducing me to this artist.

Oregon artist photographer Cathy Sheeter, loves animals and the outdoors. Her passions are inspiration for her art.



Her medium of choice was discovered during high school art classes. Cathy Sheeter creates art on scratch board, a clay coated Masonite panel topped with a layer of black ink.

Cathy etches into the ink revealing the white clay underneath and creating wonderful black and white images. Color and mid tone values are achieved through additional applications of various inks over her detailed drawings.
