Instead of tearing down the mall they contacted the Regional Arts Commission with an offer to open the 200,00o square feet to artists and early 2009 ArtSpace was born.
ArtSpace has taken vacant retail space and filled it with dance, theater, studios, and galleries giving energy and life to a dying mall.
