A Couple of Watercolors



I realized that I have very few decent photos of my paintings. I did find these two.

PEACH ROSES
This one is the result of practicing creating depth by negative painting...








UPSIDE DOWN FLOWERS
The day I painted this one I could not get in the right brain. Painting was a real struggle. I turned my paper upside down and sketched this and then also painted it upside down (at least 95% of it).

  1. These are beautiful. Does painting upside down help with getting more depth?

  2. Painting upside down helps you look at shapes and values rather than things. Painting that way gets my brain functioning better for art (it puts the right side in charge).
